Dark Magick update as of 2/8/20

Hi gang!

So….revisions and writing are going pretty darn well. I’m not done with the book yet, but things are back on track at last and I’m pretty happy with how everything’s coming together.

I wanted to give you a heads up that I’m going to start posting a few of the updated chapters tonight. I already updated chapter 46 with the newest version. From here on out, the chapter numbers from previous posts will no longer be valid. I’ve cut a bunch of stuff. I’ve combined some shorter chapters into longer ones. I’ve written new material. I’ve merged some old material with new. So if you’re thinking, “Well, I left off reading chapter 58, so I don’t need to reread anything until we get to that point,” don’t think that! Please! By the time we get back to 58 now, it’s probably going to be close to the end of the book and you will have missed some brand new writing.

A lot of the old material no longer exists, and what’s left has been reworked. For example, Chapter 47 is now a combo of the old 47 and 48 with some tweaks. And once you get past 47, you won’t be able to do a direct comparison to the old chapters at all. My advice to you, if you’ve already read the old material I pulled down the beginning of January, is to skim these chapters as I put them up, starting with 46, and decide for yourself which ones merit a full reread because of new material.

I wish I could make it easier for you to figure out, but…well, it just is what it is. Writer brain isn’t always neat and tidy. (Sorry! LOL! )

And, of course, for those of you just now reading Dark Magick for the first time, you’re good! Keep on reading because it won’t matter to you what I’ve changed in my revisions. 🙂

I’ll try to get a little more up for you next week as well! But for now….I’m back to my writing cave!
