Want to keep reading Hometown Hearts? Here’s the plan!

Hometown Hearts by M.L. Rhodes
Hometown Hearts

Hi, everyone! It is officially January 1st. Happy New Year!

I had said in my original introduction to this serialized version of Hometown Hearts that I’d post a chapter a day between December 18th and January 1st (15 chapters, which is about 3/4 of the total story). Then, after that, I’d decide how I wanted to handle the rest of the book. I’m sure some of you are wondering, “Okay, it’s January 1st. What now, M.L.? How the heck do I find out what happens with Hunter and Jay?”

Well, the good news is, I’ve made a decision. And don’t worry, it’s easy-peasey for you!

Here’s the scoop….

I am going to continue to post chapters on my blog until the book is done!

You don’t seem to mind coming here to read, so I see no reason to change that if it’s working well.

That said, I’m going to post new chapters on January 2nd and January 3rd, just as I have been, putting them up sometime between midnight and 3 a.m. MST. But then I’m going to take a few days off (Fri-Tues, the 4th-8th) because I actually have out-of-town company coming to visit.  Not to worry, though! I will be back to posting chapters early in the morning on Wed, January 9th. And then I will continue until the book is complete!

After I’ve put up all the chapters, I will probably leave them up for a few days to give everyone a chance to finish reading. And then…I will pull everything down off my blog.

Once the book is formatted and in its final form, which should roughly coincide with when I take down the blog chapters, I will release the book in its entirety, in a choice of ebook formats (probably .epub and .mobi), here on my website.

It will be for sale to the general public. But those of you who are readers of my blog and have been following this serialized version, I will provide you with a “secret” code so that you can download the complete book for free. 🙂  My thank you gift to you for coming to visit over the course of a few weeks! Just be sure that you check here (I will make a post about it) later this month so that you can get the secret free download code!

I will most likely keep the book available for everyone to buy it via my website for a month or so, and then I will put it up for sale at the Kindle store where it will also be available through Kindle Unlimited.

Rest assured, I will keep you guys in the loop as the month progresses. In the meantime, thank you for all your support, your great comments, for coming to read Hometown Hearts and, I hope, falling in love with Jay and Hunter as much as I have. 🙂 Honestly, you’re making this a lot of fun for me and I appreciate you all so much!

If you have any questions, drop me a note. In the meantime…I’ll see you around midnight on the 2nd and 3rd, and then again starting the 9th!

  1. YAY! I love these two and can’t wait to see what happens next….thank you ML! Im looking forward to reading more of your books….crossing my fingers that Dark Magick Rising is next 🙂

  2. Hey Tory! Yep, Dark Magick is next!! I’m getting very close to finishing it. In fact, because this blog thing has worked out so well for Hometown Hearts I’m kind of toying with the idea of doing something similar with Dark Magick…posting chapters here on my blog while I finish writing the end. That way readers who’ve been waiting for soooo long can have access to the story sooner. Then, once I finish it, I’d pull all the chapters that I’ve posted thus far down from here and release the completed book (and give my blog readers a free copy, like I’m going to do with Hometown). Thoughts??? Anyone else have thoughts on that? I’m open to hearing them!

  3. That’s awesome! I have re-read your draegan series for the 6th time and all pumped up and ready for DMR 🙂

    1. Yay!! I’m excited you’re excited! 🙂 So, tentatively, I’m thinking I might start posting chapters of Dark Magick Rising in February. I’ll do a full blog post about it when I work out the details, but that’s what I’d like to do.
